24th of July, Brian head and other happenings in the Rogers household
We had a great 24th of July. We headed to my grandma Rohdes lawn around 8:45 and the girls got a ton of candy. Me and Rikki made these really cute skirts for our girls, I think they turned out even better than we imagined. They really looked so cute. After the parade we headed home and relaxed for the races. I have to say the races were a little crazy this year. I did not even have time to take pictures of the girls because the announcer was talking and going to fast. In Bentlee race he said go before moms where even behind the line. There was a mom right in front of Bentlee so of course I did not get a picture.
After the races me Bentlee, Tatum and Darbye headed to Cedar so I could get some groceries for our Brian Head trip. We got to Brian head about six thirty and went swimming. Brian Head was so much fun we played games, did crafts and pretty much just got to sit around and relax. It really was just what I needed. The only complaint I had was the bed holy Crapoly it was like sleeping on a box. I don't think the matress had been changed since the 1960's. This usually would not be a problem, but being 33 weeks pregnant waking up in the mornings was not the most pleasant thing. It took me about twenty minutes to get out of bed and for everything on me that seems to dislocate in my sleep to pop back in to place. But seriously a four day trip and that was my worst complaint. (I can totally handle that lack of sleep is something you just get use to when you are a mom right.:)
The girls loved Brian Head I think they had a blast and that really is the only reason I went. They had a treasure Hunt, and Scavenger Hunt, we tried glow in the dark bubbles and the swam a lot. They really did no want to leave, and to be honest I really didn't either it was nice to be in a place where they could just run around get dirty and have the time of their lives without worrying about someone stealing or running them over. Trips like this make me really sad that my kids don't get the opportunity to grow up on a farm like I did and really have the freedom to do pretty much whatever you want.
I went to the doctor last week and really thought he would check me, but I guess I am measuring a little small so they moved my due date ten days (I haven't even told my husband this because I don't believe it hehe I know exactly when I got pregnant so I am going off of that and not my measurements, for some reason me and Jamie have pretty small/average size babies) . This news was just a little frustrating for me, but I am so thankful to be pregnant and that so far this little girl seems healthy and happy so I am willing to be pregnant for a few more weeks if that is what it takes...but I don't think it will. So I guess I am not officially due until September 19. I am really hoping I can do some mental stimulation and tell my body to go into labor around August 31st. I would be 37 1/2 weeks by then. My sister Rikki was able to do that and it worked if only I was that lucky.

More River Photos
Here are a few more photos from our time spent in the river this year. We have had a few boring weeks with the rain and the flash flood warnings we have sure missed playing in our favorite spot. Hopefully we will be able to head down there in a few days when it heats up again... (I am by no means complaining this weather has been amazing, but my kids seriously whine ever single day about wanting to go down to the river.)
New Family Photos
We got to go a couple of weeks ago and have some family photos taken. The only bad part of taking family photos in the middle of the summer means I am a single mom in all the photos. Jamie is a fire fighter for the BLM so come summer time he is pretty much gone 24/7. I am not complaining because the money is really nice in the summer time and it is his job (you do what you have to). So instead of family photos for my little family Leslie Truman just took some photos of my girls. They really turned out so cute I think they might be some of my most favorite pictures of them so far in their lives. Another reason I was ok with not doing a family photo with the rest of my siblings is because I am extremely preggo. So it didn't seem right taking a family picture when our family would be adding a new face in just a few weeks. So hopefully after this little girl gets here and I lose a little weight we can officially get a family photo. I did want to do a little shout out to Leslie Truman she did an amazing job with all my little nieces and nephews it was a little crazy, but she pulled out some amazing photos of everyone. Here are a few of the pictures she took. The first one is my fave...
I sure think I have some cute girlies and I can't wait to add a new one to the mix.

The River...
Oh my goodness it has been a long long time since I blogged. I have been a little overwhelmed with thinking about trying to catch up, but I finally decided against it. I am just going to start with the most current happenings and go from there. This summer has been so hot and being extremely pregnant it makes me honestly want to just sit in my bed under the air and read all summer long(Oh if only)... Me and Jamie live literally fifty feet away from the Virgin River so me and the girls spend hours and hours each week there. They have so much fun and I can just lay in the cool water like a beached whale and relax. It really is one of my most favorite places and theirs to go. Here are some cute pics of the girls playing their little hearts out.

Mammoth Camping Trip 2011
Well it has been such a long time since I have posted. I have been so busy with summer school and everything else that has been going on. (And really I just decided to get off my behind and do a post). My whole family besides my hubby (because he never can do anything in the summer being a fire fighter) whent up to Cedar Mountain to a camp ground called mammoth. It is a yearly tradition that I love so much. The first night we were there we got poured on, by the morning my air mattress was floating on about an inch of water. All our bedding and clothes were soaked but the funniest thing is it was my best night of sleep. I didn't even realize we were all wet until the morning. The worst part about the rain was the rest of the trip all our stuff was pretty soggy. The second day up there it rained off and on, but it made it really nice. It stayed nice and cool until the fourth day when we were packing up and going home. My girls had a blast and I really think they could live in the mountains and never come home. It was nice to see them just be able to run free and get dirty and not worry about someone stealing them or them getting ran over. My most favorite part was me, Rikki, Darbye and my mom went mud bogging on the four wheelers. We were covered in mud so we decided to get off and me and my mom threw Rikki and Darbye into a giant mud puddle they of course threw us in and we were covered from head to toe in mud. It was so much fun except the clean up part. There was a local fire station near by so we drove up there because they had a house when we got there the old volunteer fire fighters were still there. My mom went to drive away because she didn't want them to see her. I was not about to leave I was not going to rinse off in the below zero river. So I walked in and gave one of the little old guys a heart attack it was pretty funny. They got the pressure washer out and got a real kick out of us four girls spraying each other off with a hose and freezing to death. Well enough ramble here are a few pictures my mom took that I just love.

My Baby is 2
Oh my goodness this was a very bitter sweet day for me. I've decided that birthdays are really hard when it is your baby. My sweet little TaTum turned two on February 22nd. She had a Yo Gabba Gabba themed party. We had Grandma and Grandpa Rogers and my whole family here for some amazing Japanese food. We had Curry, egg rolls, Gioza and rice. It turned out super nice and TaTum loved every second of it. She was so cute when she opened her presents she took the time to look at each one and she would exclaim, "Oh I love it, thanks!" It was so sweet and she made her grandparents day with her happiness. A few things about Tatum. She is still pretty small for her size she is about half as tall as Bentlee, but she makes up for her small stature with a major attitude. I really thought for about a year and half of her life that she would be my more relaxed easy going kid. Boy was I wrong she has more attitude than any little kid I have ever seen. She loves getting into everything. She is finally starting to talk a lot. She went from not saying a lot to talking ever second. She loves blaming things on her sister. It is really kind of funny because she will have a poopy diaper and if you say Tatum did you poop she will say no Bentlee did. Everything is Bentlee did it. Any time you talk to her she will tell you the same story about how our cat poop scratched her ear about six months ago. It makes everyone laugh because she will say, "Poo Poo scratched my ear." She loves when she has one on one time with me and Jamie. She has started staying up later than Bentlee just so she can be with us without her older sister around. She is still a complete mommas girl I am totally fine with that. I love that both my girls love me more than anyone else. I know that is pretty selfish considering it makes daddy feel bad sometimes, but all well this is one thing I am happy to be selfish with. Well we love you little TATER TOT you are so special.

Christmas 2010
We had an amazing Christmas. I am really lucky because I get to spend every Christmas with my amazing parents. I love them so much and they always go out of their way to make Christmas so very special. This year was especially fun because both my girls are big enough know that they get super excited. They were both up super late and up super early ready to go see what Santa brought them. Are whole family was here on Christmas morning besides Rikki and Carson's family. So we were pretty packed and this next year everyone will be there. After this last year my parents are going to add on this summer so there will be some much needed extra room. Even though I love us all being so close it doesn't bother me one bit. I just think I have the best family in the whole world and I love them all so much.

Little Jackson was so cute.. He played with the girls kitchen set for days. He would sit there and stir and stir and then stick his fake food in the oven. It was adorable..
Another cute picture of little Jackson. This is Jacks little boy if you were all wondering.. He is adorable and so sweet.

A few of the presents on Christmas Eve!! This is before Santa came to visit and me and Portia brought our presents in. You can kinda see that space is limited... HAHA
Rye, Knox and Holden... I dont think they were ready to be up yet... But no worries Holden was wide awake when we got downstairs and he say his awesome train set. Poor Rye had to work super late the night before and drive all the way from Nevada just in time to get like two hours of sleep and then get up the next day and go back to work. What a great dad to do all that for those cute little boys..
Sorry for the major picture overload I had so many. I could of uploaded about twenty more that I thought were cute. But this will do..
