Mammoth Camping Trip 2011
Well it has been such a long time since I have posted. I have been so busy with summer school and everything else that has been going on. (And really I just decided to get off my behind and do a post). My whole family besides my hubby (because he never can do anything in the summer being a fire fighter) whent up to Cedar Mountain to a camp ground called mammoth. It is a yearly tradition that I love so much. The first night we were there we got poured on, by the morning my air mattress was floating on about an inch of water. All our bedding and clothes were soaked but the funniest thing is it was my best night of sleep. I didn't even realize we were all wet until the morning. The worst part about the rain was the rest of the trip all our stuff was pretty soggy. The second day up there it rained off and on, but it made it really nice. It stayed nice and cool until the fourth day when we were packing up and going home. My girls had a blast and I really think they could live in the mountains and never come home. It was nice to see them just be able to run free and get dirty and not worry about someone stealing them or them getting ran over. My most favorite part was me, Rikki, Darbye and my mom went mud bogging on the four wheelers. We were covered in mud so we decided to get off and me and my mom threw Rikki and Darbye into a giant mud puddle they of course threw us in and we were covered from head to toe in mud. It was so much fun except the clean up part. There was a local fire station near by so we drove up there because they had a house when we got there the old volunteer fire fighters were still there. My mom went to drive away because she didn't want them to see her. I was not about to leave I was not going to rinse off in the below zero river. So I walked in and gave one of the little old guys a heart attack it was pretty funny. They got the pressure washer out and got a real kick out of us four girls spraying each other off with a hose and freezing to death. Well enough ramble here are a few pictures my mom took that I just love.
