She is here!!
We welcomed "Korver Rain Rogers" on Saturday September 15th at 5:18 AM. She weighed 8 Pounds 8 Ounces. I went in on Friday around 7 PM so that they could induce me. I was five days past my due date and dilated to a 2 maybe a 3 if they were generous. I had been contracting consistently for three weeks two minutes apart, but they weren't strong enough to make me dilate. By this point I was extremely frustrated and tired. So when my doctor suggested inducing I jumped on board even though I swore I would never do it again after Bentlee. So any way I went in and they had me feel out all the paper work then around 8 they started the pitocin. At eleven Doctor Ott came in and broke my water and informed me that I was still only dilated to a two, but 95% thinned and little Korver was still wedged up in my rib cage. I was honestly thinking she was never going to drop and I was preparing myself for a c-section. So a little side note I have always had an epidural when they have broke my water so it was a really gross/weird feeling being able for the first time to feel my water being broken. Every time Jamie would make me laugh I could feel a gush. So after my water was broke they increased pitocin and my contractions really started to feel painful and were incredibly close to each other. So I got the epidural- I give kudos to people that go natural, but I just think you are crazy. I would much rather sleep and feel completely comfortable than feel any pain. After my epidural my nurse Talya(Jordan Merrills wife who was amazing) checked me and I finally was a four 100% thinned. This was around 1 AM. So at this point I was finally starting to feel a little numb, but only on one side my left. My right side I could completely move and had 100 % feeling in it. So the Anesthesiologist came back in and manually gave me some more pain medicine. My right side finally had a little relief, but I could still feel the contractions on that side. I tried to get some sleep and slept for about an hour when all of a sudden around 4 Am the pain was completely back on my right side and I could move my right leg completely no problems. At this point I was pissed they had my pitosin up to the max and my contractions were extremely close together and strong and I could feel them completely on my right side. I called my nurse and she had the epidural guy come back in and he gave me more medicine I couldn't even look at him. I knew if I did I would of ripped his head off and I could not even really act like it hurt that bad, because if I said one thing Jamie would of ripped his head off. Jamie was already pissed of and kept saying he has one freaking job and he can't even do it right. So needless to say I just kept breathing through the contractions and didn't even let out a sound, I was pretty proud of myself. After he left I had a little relief but I could still feel contractions. Right after he left around 4:30 I could feel Korver she finally dropped and I new it was time. I called in my nurse she checked me and it was go time. She had me give one push it was kind of neat because I could actually feel Korver moving down, which was a new feeling for me. She told me to stop pushing while she called the doctor. I called Rikki and told her to hurry because it was go time. (Rikki came and took pictures of the delivery my mom was going to, but I went from dilated to a five to a ten in less than forty minutes so my mom could not make it.) Thank you Rikki for stepping in last second. So back to the story, my nurse left and I was just laying there shaking to death- and man did it hurt. I totally understand now when women say they have the urge to push. I wanted to push so bad and get her out. Finally everyone was there and ready to go and three pushes later out came little Korver. She looked so cute and tiny to me, but all the nurses kept saying wow she is a big baby. I think she seemed so little because my baby is three almost four years old. Korver had a ton of black hair out of all my babies she by far has the most hair. She is the sweetest little thing and I love her so much. It is really amazing how much you can love someone. You think you could never love someone as much as you love your first baby, but you can. She was breastfeeding twenty minutes after she was born and has been amazing ever since. She sleeps like a champ. I wake up every morning at five to feed her and she goes back to sleep and sleeps until ten or eleven. Her nights and days are mixed up or I really think she would sleep all night. I have to wake her up every three hours during the day to make her feed or she seriously would sleep all day. The girls love her and I have been really happy with how Tatum has handled being dethroned. She has taken it like a champ. I sure am one lucky momma and I love my three girls very much.
